Rigid Packaging is made of strong paperboard overlaid with print and embellished paper, leather, or fabric warps, it therefore becomes one of the sought-after packaging solutions in the luxury segment. These are used in the phone, jewelry, watches, and garments. If you have recently purchased a high-end phone (30K+ Range), you would be looking at a rigid box packing. But that said, its not limited to just that watches, jewelry, health bands, all don the same.

Strength & Thickness

Generally, these boxes would be made of thick 36 to 120 pt board overlaid with printed/treated paper wraps, roughly 4 times than of normal cardboards. These boxes don’t fold flat, have a variety of striking structural formats that make it the go-to choice for several packaging materials. Due to its general strength and thickness, its regarded as a very strong and safe option for packing luxury & delicate items as well. The box provides strong protection while possibilities on treatment and prints on-top are also very varied.

Looks & Structure

These options also tend to make it something that you can make visually and structurally impressive. While all this combined, they do convey a sense of prestige, luxury, elegance, and quality and are quite ideal for smaller, high-end items. Owning to its looks and rigidity, customers then to keep these long after the product is purchased and in use, therefore making the case for a great branding opportunity as well.

Assembly & Shipping

Unlike folding cartons, which are shipped flat and therefore require assembly before being filled with product, rigid boxes usually remain erect and therefore have lower assembly costs. Furthermore, since tooling costs for simple rigid boxes are much lower than those needed to manufacture folding cartons, rigid boxes are ideal for short-run orders (5,000+). And as rigid boxes often have removable lids or may even contain embedded magnets, they are generally easier to open and reseal than folding cartons.
